Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps in Finland Q2 2024

In the second quarter of 2024, Finland's top 5 navigation and maps applications showed varying trends in downloads, revenue, and weekly active users. Here’s a detailed look at their performance based on data from Sensor Tower.

Google Maps saw a consistent increase in downloads, starting at approximately 3.4K in early April and reaching around 5.3K by the end of June. Weekly active users also grew steadily, from 554K at the beginning of the quarter to 628K by the end.

Karttaselain - Maastokartta experienced a notable rise in both downloads and revenue. Downloads increased from 1.5K in early April to 3.1K by the end of June. Revenue saw a significant upward trend, starting at approximately $5.5K in early April and peaking at $10.3K in the final week of June. Weekly active users showed a modest increase, from around 2.1K in early April to 2.5K by the end of June.

Google Earth maintained a stable download rate with minor fluctuations, starting at 1.6K in early April and ending at 1.9K in late June. Weekly active users remained relatively steady, fluctuating around the 15.5K mark throughout the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw a gradual increase in downloads and weekly active users. Downloads grew from approximately 1.3K in early April to 2K by late June. Weekly active users increased from around 46.3K to 49.8K over the same period.

Fintraffic Mobiili had an interesting trend in downloads, with an initial spike to 1.4K in early April, followed by fluctuations and a significant peak of 5.8K in mid-June before stabilizing at around 1.1K at the end of the quarter.
